theknot.com has a budget planner. You type in your budget, and how many attendants you have. Then it calculates it for you (based on an average). They say 50% of the budget goes to the reception so it bases it off of things like that. You can then change items, add items and delete items. I was using this until my wedding planner gave me a copy of some software and I made a detailed description of each cost. It was very helpful.
I am doing the knot and a book, martha steward wedding planner. The knot is good because you can plug in information and keep tack of bills. Martha is good because you have a ton of lose papers you need to deal with!!
