A backyard reception is great if you are able to allow for inclement weather. There is nothing better than a lovely garden as a setting for weddings. Beautiful blooms frame the yard and provide natural decor that will enhance the day with wonderful smells. Roses, lilies both of varying colors and varieties are wonderful for weddings; of course they are very traditional flowers, too. For the unusual, orchids come in endless colors and varieties and add an exotic feel to weddings.

Whether weddings are formal or casual affairs, the true measure of great weddings are whether or not the couple is happy with their day. Unexpected things may happen, but as long as the couple keeps their focus on the meaning and beauty of the day, there is little that can actually ruin weddings. It pays to have a back-up plan if you are holding an outdoor ceremony or reception, but if you roll with the forecast and simply focus on your vows, the day will be priceless and rich in memories.
