Stylish Wedding

Almost everyone loves weddings. The bride, most often looks radiant, happy with a self-satisfied smile on her face. A wag here attributed that look to the euphoria of having achieved the nearly impossible; being able to dray a chronic bachelor to the altar, especially in the country today where the average young man has a phobia for marriage and runs faster than the wind at the mere mentioned of that eight-letter word.

Anyway, weddings are joyous occasions full of colour and panache. Adding to the colour are the outfits worn by most guests. And the bride and groom too who look like a million dollars.

At such events, one group that is easily stands out is the bridemaids or bridal train. They often look captivating because of their fetching looks and stylish dressing.

DRESSED TO KILL

Besides choosing her own wedding gown, it’s the bride’s duty to also select the colour, design and type of fabric of her bridesmaids. Most times, the dresses are picked to complement the bride’s out fit so the colours and styles don’t clash.

Care is taken to pick the bridal train’s outfits so they can look as stylish and chic as possible ( and possibly confuse more guest). Today’s bridesmaids‘ dresses are ultra-glam styles that can even complete favorably with the bride’s outfit. The hottest styles right now are strapless, halter necks or spaghettis gowns.

Formerly, long lengths were the rage either in two-pieces or gowns. These days, shorter styles are quite popular, made into all kinds of designs. Those with bridal sashes , satin bows, corsages and tie belt are especially hot now. Fabrics include satin, lace, silk and crepe.

The most sought after colour for today’s weddings are pale ones such as pale blue, baby pink, lilac, shell pink, taupe and pale yellow. Purple and lemon are also popular.

Consideration should be given to the bridemaids’ style, colour preferences and figure types when picking designs. A strapless gown, for instance might not look too good on a plus-size bridesmaid with a large bust and fat arms. A style with cap or short sleeves will be more suitable.
